This is my sweet Bruno.. She is a long tailed tuxedo kitty. Yes..I said 'she'. I am getting there.. Bruno was the result of an anoyingly loud meowing and purring calico kitty I had for a short time named Cali (short for California) and a long black haired dirty stray I took in when he showed up at my door torn up from fighting with a neighbor cat. I ultimately named him Mr. Crabby Pants.. He had some attitude issues and he wouldn't stop trying to ahem.. fornicate with my pure precious little Cali while I was nursing him to health. Anyway, long story short Cali was prego with 5 and the first to come out was little Bruno.. this fat furry ball of black and white fluff. As soon as Bruno was out, she turned around and tried to fight her way back in, it was the funniest thing I have ever seen as her brothers and sisters came popping out and pushing poor Bruno out of the way while Bruno just kept on fighting back to the start of the line. I was able to give all the kitties good homes and decided to keep Bruno to myself. She was hard to tear away from, she found a regular bed in the nook of my neck when she was a baby and I was attached. Well.. the whole time I thought that Bruno was a boy. When we first checked them for some reason I thought Bruno was a boy, and with all that hair its not like I regularly checked out the package area or anything. I didn't find out until I took Bruno to get neutered and the Vet tech said 'you mean spayed, Bruno is a girl right?' I felt like it was a trick question b/c they had already examined her. I tried not to look like I was a complete dumb blonde but I don't think I was very successful in the situation. Ha.. oh well. SO that's miss Bruno's story. I basically call her Kitty now, don't want her to feel butch or anything. She turned 9 last November. She is my doll. How can you not love that face?!
This is Miss Penny Lane... She is a toy chihuahua. I know, I know.. there's nothing 'toy' about her. So she's a little overwieght.. it happens to the best of us. Penny is supposed to weigh between 4 and 6 lbs, she weighs a massive 8.8 lbs. I know it doesn't seem like much but if you think about it 1/3 of her weight is fat! lol. I shouldn't laugh.. mean mommy. Well look at the picture, I am a mean mommie! Ha Ha, that was this year at Christmas. She is very mad at this situation. Anyway, Penny had a rough start. I took her to the vet for her first check up the day after I got her from a breeder. Turned out she had Parvo, which is a pretty bad puppy disease. She started ceizuring in my hands (she only weighed 8oz when I got her) It was heart wrenching. I had to admit her into the vet hospital where they gave her 20% chance of living. Meanwhile I contacted the breeder.. her advice? 'Put the chihuahua down and we will give you another one' HA! What! No way was I going to let Penny just die and replace her! I got a petcare card and racked up too much money but 5 days of her being in the hospital with an IV needle about the size of her arm in her arm, she came to. She has been a great companion ever since. She's sassy, pretty, and loves to give kisses. She loves kids and people and everything (except Golum).. She just turned 10 in January.
Last.. but not least.. is Golum. Golum is a late addition to the family of fur-kids. He came attached at the hip to my significant other Nakoa. Well, not literally.. Anyway. Golum is about 10 also and he is a Green Iguana with an attitude. He's like having a mini dinosaur. It's amazing the way he watches you and moves. It's like he's always thinking and planning or something. He eats a big bowl of salad everyday and amazingly enough he is potty trained! He has a large home without doors so he can come out and hang out with us whenever he wants. However most of the time he is out he's either tormenting Penny, trying to steal her food, or soaking in a hot bath. Once in a while he'll dump one of my house plants or nock a bookcase down. He's not the smartest, but he has such determination to get his way sometimes. He has a thing for me though. He likes me to rub his back and feed him grapes.

So it begins..
Muah!!
Yep, this is me. This is my new Blog! I decided to start a blog because I like to vent, I like how photographs can tell a story, I like filling in forms (lol) and I like that I can share my thoughts and I don't have to worry about how crazy you think I am! haha.. Most of all, I think this blog will be beneficial to the soon opening of my first Etsy shop 'babbette couture'. I am excited that I will be able to share with you the projects I have done, that I am currently working on, or those that I have ideas for. I am even more excited for the feedback of people like you as I post. I appologize ahead of time for the random dud of a post that I am sure to have! Bear with me people..and you may just find out more about me then you bargained for!
